Washington, D.C. - The International Dairy Foods Association invites dairy, food and beverage industry professionals and interested academics to submit recommendations for speakers and educational presentations at this year’s International Dairy Show, which will be held November 3-6, 2013, at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Abstracts (150 words or less) for a current presentation that would be of interest to the dairy industry should be submitted online by February 28, 2013. The abstracts will be used to identify and select topics and speakers for the educational program at the Dairy Show. Submission topics should align with the most important issues in the dairy, food and beverage industries today including innovative product development or packaging, food safety and traceability, distribution and transportation, nutrition, consumer trends, marketing, retail, business management and sustainability.

"It is IDFA’s goal to provide International Dairy Show attendees access to the latest research, technology and most engaging presentations available across the industry," said Robin Cornelison, trade show director. “The Dairy Show will offer robust educational programs and a range of on-floor speakers and cooking demonstrations throughout its four-day schedule.”

The International Dairy Show, co-located with FPSA’s PROCESS EXPO, is expected to attract over 800 total exhibitors who will display the newest technologies in equipment, packaging, ingredients and services for processors of dairy, food and beverages. Industry professionals will attend the International Dairy Show to find solutions spanning the entire manufacturing process - from receiving and blending to processing and packaging to material handling and distribution. More than 15,000 total attendees will have the opportunity to view both trade show floors - more than 300,000 square feet of exhibits, offering everything that dairy companies need to run more efficiently, create new products and improve profitability.

Suggestions for topics and speakers may be submitted online at:  The deadline for consideration is February 28. IDFA will select topics and notify chosen presenters in March.
