Bob Evans Farms Inc. already is benefiting from its split from Bob Evans Restaurants.

The New Albany-based food products company, which now is separate from the privately owned restaurant chain of a similar name, on Wednesday reported a 27.1 percent increase in sales to $109.3 million in its first quarter, which ended July 28.
