Denver is getting Lucky’s.

A 25,000-square-foot outpost of the Boulder-born specialty grocer is slated to open in the city in 2019, anchoring a new mixed-use development in Lowry, near East Lowry Boulevard and Quebec Street.

Lucky’s Market — tagline: Organic for the 99 percent — has been on a growth streak since the first store opened in north Boulder in 2003, recently spurred by a large investment from Kroger, the parent to conventional grocer King Soopers. Twenty-four stores are now open, as far-flung as Florida and Montana. Its first Colorado store outside Boulder County will open next year in Wheat Ridge.
