NEW YORK -- siggi's, the fastest-growing U.S. yogurt brand for the past three years and maker of Icelandic-style yogurt with simple ingredients and not a lot of sugar, today announces the latest innovation from the brand—new whole-milk no added sugar yogurt. Launching on shelves in retailers nationwide this month, the delicious new line has no added sugar and is available in two delightful flavors: banana & cinnamon and peach & mango.

On the heels of the New Year and just in time to assist with resolutions, these cups are ideal for consumers seeking new snacking options while cutting down their sugar intake at the same time. With double the amount of protein as sugar in each serving, the flavor profile of the new varietals feature just the natural sweetness that comes from the fruit mixed in. Both flavors boast 10g of protein and only 5g of natural sugar per serving. siggi's no added sugar yogurt line offers an all-natural ingredient list that consumers can feel confident in with each spoonful.

"We have always been at the forefront of reducing sugar in yogurt, and we are constantly pushing ourselves to use even less sugar while still making delicious yogurt with no strange additives," said Siggi Hilmarsson, founder of siggi's. "We understand that consumers today more than ever want less sugar. For example, in a recent survey we conducted, over 80 percent of participants noted that they are actively trying to reduce their sugar consumption. Our hope in launching this no added sugar line of skyr is to provide everyone with a tasty new yogurt that takes one step further in sugar reduction. We're excited about it and hope our fans are too."

siggi's yogurts are made without any artificial preservatives, sweeteners, flavors or colors. siggi's whole-milk no sugar added skyr is available for an SRP of $1.69. For more information, visit www.siggisdairy.com.

About siggi's
siggi's dairy began in 2004 when Siggi Hilmarsson felt homesick for a staple of his childhood diet, skyr, a thick, creamy, high-protein yogurt from his native Iceland. The yogurts he found on shelves in the US were much too sweet and artificial tasting for his liking. His mother sent him a recipe and with that, he began making skyr in his small New York City kitchen. Today, siggi's dairy makes rather delicious yogurt products with simple ingredients and not a lot of sugar. True to Icelandic tradition, siggi's products do not contain any artificial preservatives, sweeteners, flavors or colors, and are made with milk from family farms that do not use growth hormones such as rBGH.
