   Potato Industry Poised To Amplify Its Performance Efforts With New Online Hub

Denver, CO – Potatoes USA is ready to ignite its new performance strategy and campaign with several opportunities for industry members to get involved and extend these efforts.

Potatoes USA is making a strong statement about potatoes to demonstrate the performance-boosting benefits of America’s favorite vegetable. Potatoes USA, the nation’s potato marketing and research organization, worked with its members to identify a nutrition-based lifestyle benefit that challenges consumers’ preconceived notions about potatoes. Extensive research led to a strategy based on a key truth: Potatoes fuel performance. Most people don’t consider the potato a performance food and are surprised to learn about all of the nutritional benefits.

Potatoes USA is bringing its “performance” strategy to life in a new campaign that shows how potatoes fuel athletic performance and poses the question: “What are you eating?” The campaign is based on the idea that consistently beating your personal best isn’t just about how you train, it’s about what you eat.

In a new special video update, Potatoes USA President/CEO, Blair Richardson, and potato grower and Potatoes USA Chairman, Dan Moss, highlight this exciting new approach and most importantly, they share exactly how industry members can get involved in the new performance strategy andWhat are you eating? campaign. Via Potatoes USA’s industry campaign hub, members can:

  • Download a variety of event-specific materials, including directions on getting involved with Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathons and local events, with media tips and sampling guidelines.
  • Request event supplies for loan, including branded pop-up tents, flags, retractable banners and table cloths.
