Aldi plans to hire 250 employees and open four stores in New Jersey by next year as the supermarket chain continues its expansion in the Garden State.

In addition to previously announced locations in Hamilton, Mercer County and Flemington, the German company said it's planning stores in Egg Harbor Township and Old Bridge.

The Hamilton (1250 Route 33) and Flemington (325 Route 202) stores will open in November. The other two are slated to welcome their first customers in the first half of next year, ALDI Center Valley Division Vice President Bob Grammer said.
