CBP: Some Fresh Flowers From Mexico Prohibited To Cross Through El Paso Port Of Entry

This Valentine's Day, U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents will be on the look out for certain fresh-cut flowers coming into the country from Mexico. 

Chrysanthemums and choisyas are not allowed to through El Paso port of entries, according to CBP. 

CBP agricultural specialists say those flowers carry harmful plant pests and diseases. CBP also says live plants, seeds and bulbs are not allowed into the U.S. without special permits.
