ORLANDO, Fla. -- H. J. High Construction recently commenced construction on a substantial expansion and addition for Martin's Famous Pastry Shoppe, Inc.® at their production facility in Valdosta, Georgia.

The project scope includes the addition of more than 100,000 square feet for expanded production space.  This will allow the creation of a new production line, as well as space for future business growth.  The expansion project includes new tilt walls, concrete foundation, precast floor, stairs and roof panels in addition to membrane roofing, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, civil site work and fire sprinkler systems.

"We are excited about the expansion of the bakery," said Tony Martin, executive vice president of Martin's Famous Pastry Shoppe, Inc.®.  "We are moving to a higher level of business and operational sophistication that will increase efficiency, better serve our customers and allow for future growth."

Martin's Famous Pastry Shoppe is a family-owned and operated consumer goods company headquartered in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania with a major production facility in Valdosta, Georgia.  Martin's is best-known for their delicious potato rolls that have a slightly sweet, buttery taste and a pillowy texture.  The Martin's Sandwich Potato Roll is the number one branded hamburger roll in the United States according to IRI data.  However, their overall success can be attributed to the company's culture of working with fairness and integrity, as well as the unwavering dedication to their mission of baking the best products and providing the best sales distribution support through their strategy of doing "whatever it takes, God helping us."
