L.D. Amory and Co. Inc. and Graham & Rollins Inc. of Hampton have partnered with the Atlantic Red Crab Co. to bring deep-sea red crab to the region. The partnership is ideal, company officials said, because Graham & Rollins can provide the processing and retail, while Amory will handle packaging and distribution. The other key component is storage. They have leased a nearby city-owned building to house large live holding tanks. The nearby Virginia Tech Agricultural Research and Extension Center assisted with developing the tanks to maintain water quality ideal for storing live crabs. …
