A Capitol Hill briefing for House staff yesterday focused on a new report on “Fluid Milk in School Programs” by the National Dairy Council. It was hosted by Representatives G.T. Thompson (R-PA) and Joe Courtney (D-CT), both members of the House Agriculture Committee. The National Milk Producers Federation and the International Dairy Foods Association strongly support the National Dairy Council’s report and helped coordinate the briefing.

Oregon Dairy Industries Names Umpqua Dairy's John Harvey As President

Oregon Dairy Industries, also known as ODI, inducted John Harvey, Director of Plant Operations at Umpqua Dairy Products, Co. as their President for the 2015-2016 term at the 104th Annual ODI Conference held in Salem on April 15th.  In his newly elected position, Harvey will be responsible for overseeing the regional organization, including industry related educational training, organizing the annual convention and developing relationships with local and regional governments to promote the Oregon dairy industry.
