No one has come forward so far to claim the $100,000 reward for solving the mystery of who is sticking sewing needles into Prince Edward Island’s potatoes – a situation that has seen the destruction of hundreds of thousands of pounds of produce and has put members of the province’s $1-billion potato industry on edge.

UK: Supplier Produce World Busier Than Ever This Christmas With Broccoli A Big Hit

Produce World, which has factories in Chatteris, Sutton Bridge and Isleham, has enjoyed a surge in demand for its produce over the festive period. Demand for broccoli is up 19.9 per cent, while there has been a 5.6 per cent increase in carrot sales and a five per cent increase in root vegetable sales.
