Conscious Cultures, a leading maker of plant-based foods, today announced its corporate rebrand to Bandit and that it raised a $1.5 million seed round led by venture capital firm Prime Movers Lab.

Dairy Farmers of America Acquires Two Processing Facilities From Smithfoods

The processing plants, located in Richmond, Ind., and Pacific, Mo., produce a variety of extended shelf-life dairy and non-dairy beverages, ice cream and shake mixes for both retail and food service customers. The facilities will become part of the DFA Dairy Brands division and will operate as Richmond Beverage Solutions and Pacific Dairy Solutions.

The International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) is seeking nominations for three top awards presented annually to leaders in the dairy industry. Nominations open today and will close on Friday, Oct. 28. Winners will be announced and recognized at Dairy Forum 2023 in Orlando, Fla. Nominations are now open for the following awards: The IDFA Laureate Award, the 2023 Innovative Dairy Farmer of the Year Award, and the IDFA Food Safety Leadership Award.

Entrepreneurial Equity Partners (“e2p”), a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on the food and consumer packaged goods industries, announced today that it has acquired Roskam Baking Company (“Roskam” or the “Company”) and merged Roskam with Organic Milling, one of its portfolio companies. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
