Sweet Laurel, L.A.’s trendy, gluten-free bakery announced its first mainstream grocery distribution with Sprouts Farmers Market. Sweet Laurel’s new grain-free, dairy-free, refined sugar-free baking mixes will be sold at Sprouts nationwide. The debut product line includes Sweet Laurel’s signature Chocolate Cake Mix, Pancake Mix and Scone Mix. All three items will be available in January 2023 in all Sprouts locations including Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and Washington. Sprouts is the first retailer to carry the brand’s viral chocolate cake mix and new pancake and scone boxed mixes.

US Foods Provides Nearly $13M in Donations for 2022 Hunger-Relief Efforts

US Foods Holding Corp. announced today that the company has donated nearly $13 million in food and supplies, the equivalent of approximately 6 million1 meals or more than 265 truckloads of product, through its 2022 annual corporate hunger-relief campaigns. Since 2007, the company has donated more than 165 million pounds of food and supplies to aid community hunger-relief efforts.

Carnival Cruise Line Names Emeril Lagasse Chief Culinary Officer

Bam! Carnival Cruise Line announced that renowned chef and restauranteur Emeril Lagasse will serve as its Chief Culinary Officer. A restaurant concept created by Lagasse, Emeril’s Bistro, is already popular on two of Carnival’s most innovative ships, Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration, and now the famous chef’s culinary talents will be utilized fleetwide. In conjunction with this announcement, Carnival also announced that Carnival Jubilee will also feature an Emeril’s Bistro when it arrives in Galveston, Tex. in December 2023.
