Market Street Grocery Set To Fill Much-Needed Niche For Downtown Pittsburgh

For Downtown residents, 2015 will start with another countdown — to the opening of a long-awaited grocery in Market Square.

After setbacks caused by construction-related issues, developer Ralph Falbo said Wednesday he expects to open the Market Street Grocery by the end of February.

The store will be the first of its type Downtown since Rosebud Fine Food Market and Deli on Seventh Street at Fort Duquesne Boulevard closed in March 2010.
