No Newfoundland Fall Crab Fishery

The Federal Fisheries Department is not allowing any crab fishing off Newfoundland and Labrador's shores this fall.
Officials said a fall crab fishery could put next year's catch at risk.
"The crab that is in the water now is the crab that's available for next season as premium crab," said DFO official Tony Blanchard.
Blanchard said fishermen are right to be worried about the scarcity of crab this year compared to past years.
