Aunt Millie’s Bakeries Laying Off 33 Workers From Fort Wayne Facility

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — A company is laying off 33 workers from its Fort Wayne bakery operations, citing slower sales.

Aunt Millie's Bakeries will cut the production jobs effective May 14 as it ends two of four baking shifts. About 80 workers will remain after the layoffs.

Company vice president Bohn Popp says it needed to adjust to decreased sales of some products. The layoffs are for an indefinite period.
