Consumer Panel: Sister Schubert’s Buttermilk Biscuits Rise To The Occasion

I love biscuits, but making a good one from scratch can be a challenge. Lucky
for me there are so many other choices. A new one is Sister Schubert’s frozen
Buttermilk Biscuits, which members of the Times-Union Consumer Panel have been
baking. They come in their own baking pan and can be cooked either frozen or
thawed.

A two-biscuit serving contains 210 calories, 11 grams of fat, 500 milligrams of
sodium, 1 gram of sugars, 5 milligrams of cholesterol and 3 grams of trans fat.

Sales representative Angie Tekin ate the biscuits, which she thawed before
baking, spread with butter and preserves and had them for breakfast with bacon
and grits.
