Lousiana Bakery Competes In National TV ‘Cake Off’

Mark Atwood has always known the cake decorating talent at his bakery stacks
up against the best in the country, including those featured on such television
programs as Food Network’s “Ace of Cakes” and TLC’s “Cake Boss.”

And in January, he got a chance to prove it with an invitation to compete on
TLC’s “Ultimate Cake Off.” The show pits three teams of cake decorators against
each other and challenges them to create a cake for a specific event taking
place around Los Angeles.

The process for the Atwood’s Bakery team began in August at the International
Cake Exploration Societe conference in Chicago where Mark Atwood’s mother
received a lifetime achievement award.
