Cake clients book an appointment online and complete a comprehensive event profile. This information helps cake designers form an accurate vision of the client’s desires before the appointment begins.
At the appointment, buyers taste fresh cake samples delivered daily from Tinley Park and collaborate through the design process, creating their ideal showpiece. “At the end of the one-hour appointment,” says Fahey, “we’ll know what the cake will look like and we will have selected flavors. On the day of the event, a spectacular custom cake is delivered to the venue.”
The Design Studio isn’t just for wedding cakes. “People of all ages are relying more on technology to get things done and many events now demand a 'wow' cake, like Baby’s first birthday, religious events, or a 50th anniversary,” says Fahey. “All of these cakes are delivered directly to any home, club or restaurant, so we eliminate the possibility of a cake being ruined when a customer picks up and moves the cake themselves.”
“No matter how challenging, we have never seen an idea that we couldn’t execute,” says Fahey. “Our cakes have been inspired by sports teams, hobbies, movies, books and television shows like Game of Thronesand Dr. Who.”
