Beatrice Bakery Co. is saying goodbye to its President and CEO Greg Leech, who is retiring on June 1 after nearly 40 years in the fruitcake business.
Leech has been with the company since 1979 and is retiring to spend more time with family.
“I just really appreciate the Beatrice people’s support,” Leech said. “This place wouldn’t be here without our employees. They make this place run and they really put out a good product. I’ve enjoyed it, but there’s been struggle and it’s time for me to enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas one year out of 40.”
