Strict Gluten-Free Standard
SCS is proud to certify foods and beverages under the strict gluten-free standard developed by the Gluten Intolerance Group and administered by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization (GFCO). GFCO-certified is the largest and fastest growing gluten-free label in North America, stricter than Codex, USA, Canada, the EU and many other country standards. For instance, while the Codex standards, developed by the World Health Organization and UN Food and Agriculture Organization, allow up to 20 parts per million of gluten, GFCO certification requires that foods meet a standard twice that strict – no more than 10 parts per million.
