Sister Schubert’s Homemade Rolls Appearing On The Food Network

LUVERNE, Ala. — Sister Schubert’s Homemade Rolls, the country’s best-selling
brand of frozen dinner rolls, will be featured on the “Feel-Good Foods” episode
of “Unwrapped,” the popular Food Network Show hosted by Marc Summers. Premiering
March 22 at 9 p.m. EDT, the episode will show how the company brings the
homemade taste of yeast rolls to families across the country. Viewers are
advised to check local listing times.

During filming at the company’s main bakery in Luverne, Ala. last fall, Founder
Patricia “Sister Schubert” Barnes told “Unwrapped” the story of how Sister
Schubert’s was founded based on her grandmother’s heirloom recipe for Parker
House Style yeast rolls.

“We showed them how we maintain the pure and simple homemade taste of Sister
Schubert’s rolls while baking more than two million rolls a day,” Mrs. Barnes
said. “Just as my grandmother did, we insist on using quality ingredients like
fresh milk, eggs and butter. And, as you’ll see on the show, we still place
every single roll in the pan by hand.”

Karen Bailey, senior brand manager for Sister Schubert’s Homemade Rolls, said
demand for the homemade taste and convenience of Sister Schubert’s rolls, which
go from freezer to table in minutes, continues to grow. “Sister Schubert’s
Parker House Style Yeast Rolls continue to be the country’s best-selling frozen
dinner rolls, according to data from Information Research Incorporated,” she
said. The company recently introduced Sister Schubert’s Parker House Style Mini
Pans, packaged in two, 8-count pans, in addition to the existing 16-count pan.

Sister Schubert’s rolls and other frozen bread products are available nationally
as well as in numerous regional grocery chains and independent grocers.
