Tiny Boise Bakery Thrives After Legal Battle With Grocery Giant

BOISE, Idaho (CBS 2) — It’s been less than three months since grocery giant Albertsons filed, then dropped, a lawsuit against Granny C’s — a small family-owned bakery at the Hillcrest Shopping Center.

And business is thriving at Granny C’s since the little bakery’s David-and-Goliath legal battle with the grocery colossus last summer.

“Oh, it’s better than it was before we were sued,” said Brad DeBoer, of Granny C’s. “But it’s not as good as that month right after we got sued.”
