Wonderland Bakery Creates Cookies For The White House

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — Wonderland Bakery, a specialty bakery and thematic destination founded by Allyson Ames ( www.WonderlandBakery.com ), has been tapped to create President Obama's favorite sugar cookies.

Jeff and Nancy Stack hosted an Obama Victory Fundraiser on Thursday, February 16, 2012 in Corona del Mar, CA. Each guest received a Wonderland Bakery cookie embellished with the Presidential Seal. The sugar cookie is hand-cut and frosted with French vanilla icing, created with state-of-the-art edible technology and individually wrapped with a Presidential blue ribbon.

Obama was smitten with Wonderland Bakery cookies when a celebrity client sent him a batch of gingerbread and sugar cookies during the holidays in 2008. Since then the bakery has created and shipped thousands of cookies to the White House including cookies for the 2009 Presidential Inauguration Gala and the President's Committee on Arts and Humanities in 2010. Today the ovens are working overtime creating cookies embellished with the Presidential Seal for his visit.

Wonderland Bakery has baked thousands of political cookies since they received the 2008 California Business of the Year Award. "Although we are a non-partisan bakery, we are grateful President Obama has 'good taste' and we are honored that he has selected our cookies as the White House favorite," said Allyson Ames, founder of Wonderland Bakery.

The Wonderland Bakery "Cookie Hall of Fame" also includes: Major League Baseball's Official All Star cookie and Best Gingerbread cookie in the country designated by "The View".

Ames, 25, has followed her love, passion and dream of baking and launched her original location in Newport Beach in 2005. "Wonderland is an enchanting experience for the young, young at heart, anyone with a sweet tooth, including our President, and we look forward to his visit," says Ames.
