In response to current market conditions, California Dairies, Inc. (CDI), the nation’s second largest dairy processing cooperative, recently cautioned its member-owners that penalties for overproduction of milk may be incurred per the terms of CDI’s internal supply management program.

St. Louis Rams kicker Josh Brown will team up with the Midwest Dairy Council for a Fuel Up to Play 60 activity break at the Missouri Dietetic Association Annual Conference on Thursday, April 19 from 10:30-11:00 a.m. at the Hilton St. Louis Frontenac, 1335 S. Lindbergh Blvd. Brown's visit brings Fuel Up to Play 60 program awareness to 150 registered dietitians in attendance at the conference.

Oregon Public Health Officials Investigating Raw Milk E. Coli Cases

The Oregon Public Health Division, the Oregon Department of Agriculture and several local health departments are investigating an outbreak of Escherichia coli O157:H7 infections. Three children with laboratoryconfirmed infections have been hospitalized. A fourth child has labconfirmed E.coli but has not been hospitalized. All of the children consumed raw unpasteurized milk obtained from Foundation Farm in Clackamas County.

"Man Dip" Making Inroads To Bigger Stage

The investment seems to be paying off for Dr. Ted Mimlitz and his partner Andy Wolf because their spicy sausage and cheese dip has been picked up by Carlinville-Ill.-based Prairie Farms Dairy, which will begin distributing the product next month.
