Bekkum Family Farms LLC of Westby, Wis., is recalling shredded cheese because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The cheese is labeled "Grumpy Goat Shreds" under the Nordic Creamery brand name, in eight-ounce bags with a code date of 10-MAR-12.

After a bleak period for farmers, Wisconsin's dairy industry is on the rise. Ben Brancel, secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection said the state's $27 billion dairy industry has been in recovery mode lately.
