IL Dept. Of Public Health: Ropp Jersey Cheese Being Recalled

Ropp Jersey Cheese, LLC, located at 2676 Ropp Road, Normal, Illinois is voluntarily recalling some of its cheese products because the products may contain antibiotics. The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) discovered the problem during a routine review of the plants antibiotic screening log, which indicated the products were not being tested as required.

Salmonella-Contaminated Egg Farm Still Not Compliant With FDA Rules

The federal Food and Drug Administration has sent a letter to Quality Egg LLC (operator of Wright County Egg) outlining continuing violations of shell egg regulations. The FDA also informed Quality Egg that they are not to sell eggs for human consumption until the violations have been rectified.
