The new 68,000-sq. ft. store will create a local destination for unsurpassed freshness, quality, variety and service while keeping H-E-Bs pledge to offer everyday low prices. Customers will be happy to know the new store will carry selections of the communitys locally-grown produce, dairy, flowers and herbs, and other grocery items, like wine and jams.

Monterey Bay Greenhouse Growers Open House: A Great Success

Over 600 people attended and over $5,000 was raised for local charities during the 1st Annual Monterey Bay Greenhouse Growers Open House held on Saturday, June 19, 2010. Seven local greenhouse farmsB & H Flowers, Inc., California Floral Greens, California Pajarosa, Jacobs Farm, Kitayama Brothers, Pacific Plug & Liner, and Succulent Gardensall opened their greenhouse doors to provide a one day event to educate and explain whats locally growing on under those glass roofs.

CCFC Sponsors July Floral Marketing Pull-Out Section

The Commission, along with other California grower/shippers, recently sponsored a special “pull-out” section on California Grown in the July issue of Floral Marketing. The special section titled, “The California Flower Farmer Report & 2010 Floral Buyers Guide,” included a full-page ad and a full-page directory listing of California’s flower farms.
