The beef checkoff, through the  Northeast Beef Promotion Initiative was positively represented to over 250 New England packers, restaurant operators, retailers, producers, and meat cutters at the first ever  New England Meat Conference held in Concord, New Hampshire on March 22-23, 2013.

Triple J Family Farms Recalls Bone-In Ribeye

Triple J Family Farms, a Buffalo Lake, Minn. establishment, is recalling approximately 15,270 pounds of bone-in ribeye products because the vertebral column may not have been completely removed, which is not compliant with regulations that require the removal of vertebral column in cattle 30 months of age or older, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced.

In the spirit of the March Madness tournament season, the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council (NHDSC) is proud to announce the ultimate Hot Dogs vs. Sausages tournament bracket. Beginning Monday, March 18, 2013, people can vote for their favorite regional hot dogs and sausages. Voting will be conducted online via polls on the NHDSC Facebook page and will continue throughout the month with a winner announced on April 8th.
