Retailers are welcoming the arrival of TASTE ME DO GOOD* apples and pears poised to not only offer great tasting varieties but also provide plenty of stories to peak customer interest. TASTE ME DO GOOD* pears and apples are grown using traditional methods that maximize nutrients in the soil – and therefore in the fruit as well – by working in harmony with the earth's cycles. First apple arrivals (in mid-April) include Galas, followed by Cripps, Granny Smith, and Red Delicious varieties. Volume for pears, already available, is forecast as good with varieties including Bartletts, Packhams and Shinko Asian pears.
