Eastern Fisheries Dives Into Scallop Farming Operations

Eastern Fisheries Inc., the world’s largest scallop company, has finalized agreements to operate a scallop farm off the coast of Zhuanghe, China. Eastern will begin cultivating bay scallops in June with plans to expand their operations for the production of larger sea scallops. Eastern’s wholly owned subsidiary in China, Dalian Far Eastern Shores, will oversee the day-to-day management.

Sun Capital Partners, Inc., a leading private investment firm specializing in leveraged buyouts and investments in market-leading companies, today announced that an affiliate has entered into an agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of Contessa Premium Foods, Inc. through a 363 bankruptcy sale.
