New Biery Cheese Company Factory Brings Jobs To Central WI

STEVENS POINT — A cheese company recently invested nearly $20 million in a plant in Plover.  Biery Cheese Company is now bringing jobs to central Wisconsin.

Biery Cheese Company is a family-owned cheese company that started in 1929 as a Swiss cheese company. As the economy changed, the company evolved into a cheese processing facility that cuts, slices, and packages cheese for its customers.

Ben Biery is the CEO.  He says, "We do a lot of snacking cheeses; we do a lot of snacking kits. And what that provides is the retail customer to merchandise to the consumers all across the country, and actually into different countries."
