The Greek Gods Yogurt Extends Deadline For 2010 High School Video Commercial Contest

SEATTLE — Does your high school love creating videos? If your school can
produce the video that resonates most with the public and the Gods, it could win
$5,000 by the end of the school year. The Greek Gods Yogurt “Experience the
Myth” Video Contest is extending its deadline to April 29, 2010. Whether funny,
dramatic, or artful, let those imaginations run wild.

There are so many emerging videographers out there, and we thought it would be
fun to see what high schools could create if given some fairly wide parameters
to make a short commercial about our yogurt, Basel Nassar said, managing
partner of The Greek Gods. Were delighted to showcase their quality work
online, and award one standout.

Criteria are as follows (complete rules at

  • Create a :30 (thirty second) short video promoting The Greek Gods Yogurt
  • Greek Gods Yogurt products must appear in the video
  • Dialogue preferred with mention of The Greek Gods Yogurt
  • Must convey “Experience the Myth” and surprisingly delicious flavor
  • No profanity, nudity, or violent content
  • The Greek Gods will vet and publicly post select videos

Submission:

  • DVD copies only (will not be returned)
  • Video title, U.S. high school name, teacher name, address, email and phone
    number are required on the disk itself; submissions must be
    teacher-supervised.
  • Acceptable video formats are H.264, MPEG-2 or MPEG-4; audio, MP3 or AAC
