Boston — With apologies to the band Three 6 Mafia. “It’s getting hard out here” for a yogurt eater.
In short, if you haven’t noticed, the yogurt market has exploded. It has arguably become the single most competitive battlefield in the food business.
How much so? Never mind Three 6 Mafia — take the actual Mafia.
CoolBrands International, a Canadian frozen desserts manufacturer (and owner of the Yoplait yogurt brand) has contracted with HBO to produce “Cherry Chip Bada Bing.” That would be a reference to the New Jersey strip club operated by mobster Tony Soprano in the HBO series, “The Sopranos.”
