French Cheese Board In NY To Host Halloween Event For Children & Adults Featuring Mimolette Cheese

NEW YORK, NY – Meet Mimo. ‘Mimo’ is short for Mimolette, a firm round cheese with a crater-y rind and a bright orange hue. This year, Mimo let it be known that he would like to celebrate Halloween by dressing up as a favorite American icon – the Jack-O’-Lantern.

It’s hard to top the festive feel of a jack-o’-lantern—unless it’s made of cheese, that is. This French cow’s milk cheese that dates back to the reign of Louis XIV is orange like a pumpkin, but much more delicious, it makes for the perfect edible Halloween treat.

The French Cheese Board, the home of all things French cheese in New York, will be showcasing Mimolette cheese from October 23 – November 7.  During those two weeks, children and adults alike can stop in to see Mimo on display (from Oct 31 onward), and over the 14 day period, Mimolette cheese will be available for sale as well.

And on Halloween, October 31, cheese lovers are invited to stop by the FCB at 26 West 39th Street, New York, NY 10018 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. to taste Mimo, compare both young and aged flavor profiles, and to take Mimo home for half price! Kids can enjoy special Mimolette treats as well.

In addition, Krai, the world’s only cheese sculptor, will be carving Mimolettes like pumpkins!  A Magbooth will be on-hand for picture taking with fun props to make Mimo’s first Halloween unforgettable.
