Honey Chevre Has A Nice Quality; Goaty, Tangy Flavor

If you're trying to put together a New Year's party on a budget, Aldi's Specially Selected brand of cheeses offers some unique flavors and good buys.

The nice selection of cheeses Aldi had stocked for the holiday (usually, the discount chain keeps prices low in part by offering a limited selection of products) included a 4-ounce log of fresh Chevre cheese flavored with honey.

As all fresh Chevres, it is made of pure goat milk, cultured until quite tangy, curdled with rennet, drained, salted and packed with no aging process. It is a very nice quality cheese with a pronounced goaty flavor and good tang, with a fluffy, flaky texture.
