Kroger To Open 50 Additional Murray’s Cheese Shops In Its Stores

People who complain about the lines at Murrays Cheese might want to just head to the supermarket instead.

Murrays, long the gold standard for cheesemongering in New York City, is expanding its partnership with the The Kroger Company, which is the largest grocery retailer in the country with 2,470 stores in 31 states.

Under the agreement, Murrays will open 50 branded Murrays store-within-a-store locations in its supermarkets over the next three years, according to a report today in Supermarket News.

A year and a half ago, Murrays opened pilot shops in three locations in Cincinnati. They sold a lot of cheese.
