Norseland Announces Retirement of their Vice President of 43 Years

Darien CT.  It is with sincere gratitude that Norseland, Inc announces the retirement of its Vice President, Linda Karaffa. After 43 years of service, Linda will be retiring effective December 31, 2022. We, at Norseland, Inc., are indebted to Linda’s vision and commitment for propelling us to our present position and success into the future.  “Linda’s steadfast support  has helped strengthen Norseland over the last 4 decades.  She has been an integral part of transforming Norseland from a small sales office to a full dairy organization.  Linda’s dedication and drive will be missed”, said John J. During her tenure, Linda had a key role in establishing and structuring TINE’s subsidiary, Norseland Inc. USA—the largest market globally for Jarlsberg® cheese sales. She was instrumental in securing Norseland, Inc. as a “Preferred Importer” in America.  “Linda has always shown her pride and dedication for Jarlsberg® cheese, Norwegian Specialty, and our farmers/owners”, stated Unni Sjøflot, International TINE SA Sales.

Additionally, Linda also served as First VP on the Board of Directors for The Cheese Importers Association, a leading non-profit trade association dedicated to importing, selling, promoting, and distributing cheese in the U.S.  Linda has been a highly valued member of Westconn International Trade Association for more than 30 years. She was a member of the board of directors and President of the organization from 1991 to 1993.   

In retirement, Linda and her husband George, plan to enjoy their grandchildren, golfing and traveling.
