Philosophy Foods Adds Producers To Portfolio

Brooklyn, NY – Philosophy Foods launched their new website this month and announced the addition of 3 new producers to their portfolio-Lady Edison Country Ham (North Carolina), Conservas LaBrujula (Spain) and Regalis Truffle products (NYC). Philosophy Foods opened in 2014 with 2 Andalucian producers, O-Med Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Losada olives.

Philosophy Co-Founder, David Yourd, states, “We began Philosophy with 2 products sourced directly from single family growers and producers, early harvest olive oil and heirloom olives. We knew the market was saturated in both categories but we recognized that our brands were special. Karrie and I spent 4 years creating retail and restaurant demand, setting up distribution channels and generating educational classes known as “Olive U”. Now that we have a good national foothold for O-Med and Losada, it is time to add new producers who have as much integrity as our initial ones.”

Lady Edison country ham and charcuterie is committed to using animal welfare approved, pasture-raised Carolina heritage hogs to create an updated version of southern charcuterie with a focus on tradition and sustainability.  Conservas LaBrujula tinned seafoods preserve the fresh aromas and flavors that brings you directly back to the ocean. Regalis Foods is the leading source for fresh truffles, caviar, and the highest quality truffle products available. Find Lady Edison and Regalis at the Good Food Mercantile.

Philosophy Foods is hosting the Good Food Mercantile after party on Friday, June 29th at Brooklyn Kitchen, 100 Frost Street, from 5:30-7:30pm. Highlights include a Regalis seafood and caviar bar, O-Med Olive Oil and Vinegar Tasting Station, LaBrujula canapés, Losada olive bar and Lady Edison ham and piparra platters. O-Med and Losada will be in the Philosophy Foods booth #680.

Located in Brooklyn, NY, Philosophy Foods purveys fine and artisanal foods. Founders, David Yourd and his wife, Karrie Kimble, put as much passion into promoting their products as the producers put into creating them.
