It started with the family in Italy; built up with family in Pascoag; and is growing toward the future with a new generation and sales that go worldwide, all the way to the Far East.

Vlado Dukcevich came to Rhode Island from Trieste, the corner of Italy by Croatia and Slovenia. He was leaving the family business established by his parents, Stefano and Carolina, who settled there in the port city and started their meat business in 1945. Though they sent him to study to be a pharmacist, after graduation they expected him to join the family business, which he did with his newfound chemistry knowledge.
