RFA Offers Food Safety Training DVD

Created and produced by the RFA Technical Committee and RFA Technical Director Martin Mitchell, the RFA Food Safety Training DVD for Experienced Employees will allow you to introduce your experienced employees to advanced food safety principles and to test their knowledge after training. The new DVD builds on the basic food safety principles introduced in the original RFA Training DVD which focused on entry-level plant workers.

The 90-minute program is divided into 10 short sessions covering specific topic areas, including:
Importance of Food Safety and Microbiology in R-T-E Foods

HACCP

Personal hygiene

Microorganisms in the plant

Sanitation and equipment cleanliness

Basic building maintenance

Allergen control

Food security

Preparing for an audit

Traceability/Recall

Each chapter has its own introduction, conclusion and set of multiple choice and true/false review questions, which are included in the accompanying CD training manual. Both English and Spanish versions are included on the same DVD and CD training manual.

RFA member companies receive one copy of the DVD program at no charge. Associate members must request a copy through the RFA Office by emailing stephanie@refrigeratedfoods.org or calling 770-452-0660.
