Cornell Series to Focus on Cut Flower Industry

The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ontario County, 480 N. Main St., Canandaigua, will offer its Cut Flower Science Speaker Series at 7 p.m. on Thursdays, March 12-26.

Jud Reid will kick off the series with “Growing in High Tunnels” on March 12, followed by “Integrated Weed Management” by Bryan Brown on March 19 and “Water Management and Irrigation” by Steve Reiners on March 26.

“The goal of the series is to cross-pollinate innovation from our researchers with our cut flower farmers,” said Pilar McKay, agriculture economic development resource educator.
