Industry Execs See Floral Recovery And Budget For Increases

WF&FSA asked Presidents and CEOs of growers, importers, manufacturers and
wholesalers in the U.S. and Canada when they thought the retail floral market
might rebound. When asked about retail florists specifically, 8% said they think
that a recovery will start in 2009, 55% said sometime in 2010 and 38% thought it
would be later than 2010.

When asked the same question specifically about mass markets 21% said they will
start to recover in 2009, 52% said sometime in 2010 and 26% thought it would be
later than 2010.

WF&FSA asked wholesalers what they are budgeting for top line sales in 2010
compared to 2009. Fifty-three percent of respondents are budgeting an increase
and 31% are budgeting sales to be flat in 2010 compared to 2009.
