National Garden Bureau’s First Ever “Year of” Video Contest Announced

DOWNERS GROVE, IL – For more than 30 years, National Garden Bureau (NGB) has been showcasing and promoting their member’s products in the inspirational program called “Year of.” Over the years, the program has steadily expanded to encompass more consumers, include more stunning images and beautiful new logos, downloadable POP for retailers and now, for the first time ever, a “Year of” Video Contest!

2019 is the Year of the Snapdragon!

The first ever “Year of” video contest, featuring #SNAPDRAGONLOVE for 2019, kicked off on February 14, 2019.

Sponsored by National Garden Bureau and their members, the contest is designed to inspire creative videos from anyone and everyone (growers, retailers, consumers…anyone!) who loves snapdragons, both cut flowers and bedding/potted/landscape varieties.

Submissions should be 30-60 second videos that may be skits, animation (talking snapdragons?!), testimonials, or other types of videos, as long as they feature and promote snapdragons. There are five ways to enter, four of which involve posting the video to the individual or company’s social media account.

The top video finalists chosen by a selection committee will be eligible for the $500 grand prize and two honorable mentions of $100 each.

The contest submissions can occur anytime between February 14, 2019 and May 15, 2019. The official winners will be announced in June.

* 2/14/19 – First Day to Enter

* 5/15/19 – Last Day to Enter

* 6/10/19 – Finalists/Winners Announced Visit for complete details

At the end of the contest, contest winners and the all video finalists will be available for viewing at and on the NGB YouTube channel. They will also be used as a part of the #YearOfTheSnapdragon campaign. Anyone breeding, selling, using or interested in snapdragons can share and use these videos. Be sure to follow National Garden Bureau on Facebook, Instagram and all other social media to stay up to date on all contest news! All finalist videos submitted will become the property of NGB. See official rules for entry and complete details.
