New Governance Structure At FloraHolland

These past years the FloraHolland cooperative has really been on the move, growing and becoming more international.

In order to actively involve members in the policymaking of FloraHolland, Advisory Councils, updated Product Committees and Regional Advisory Committees have taken on an important role in the advisory structure. At the same time, society has sharpened the demands it makes on supervisory boards. These developments have caused the Board to come with plans to change the governance structure of FloraHolland.

The daily running and business operations of the FloraHolland cooperative have already been delegated by the Board to the management. In practice, the Board has taken on an increasingly more supervisory role and an overlap has occurred with the role of the Supervisory Board (RvC). The Board, in consultation with the RvC, has come to the conclusion that they want to formalize this practice by fusing the RvC and the Board into one body.
