Ontario Floriculture Gets Marketing Boost

A successful program to encourage Ontarians to choose locally-grown flowers got a financial bouquet on Monday.

At a media event at Linwell Gardens in Beamsville, it was announced Flowers Canada-Ontario would get $772,500 from the provincial rural economic development program to build on its marketing.

That strategy seeks to educate Ontario residents about provincially-grown flowers and plants, boost demand for locally-grown flowers and encourage innovation and growth in the floriculture industry.
