International Floral Distributors (IFD) President, Eric Levy, Hillcrest Garden, Inc, announced the addition of Southern Floral Company, headquartered in Houston, Texas, as a member of IFD. Levy stated, “The Weatherford family and Southern Floral Company are a great addition for IFD. Adding a distributor of Southern Floral’s quality, strengthens IFD and provides IFD with great coverage in the Gulf Coast area of Texas. Today’s marketplace requires greater efficiency and buying power. Southern Floral Company is owned by the Weatherford family, Robert, Susan, Bryan and Scott. The company has distribution operations in Houston, Austin and Corpus Christi, Texas. Southern Floral is a full line wholesale floral distributor providing bouquets, cut flowers, plants and floral supplies to Texas retailers. “Joining IFD provides us with the opportunity to bring more value to our customers,” stated Susan Weatherford, Vice-President of Southern Floral Company, “IFD’s procurement programs, web services and marketing tools will all enhance the effectiveness of Southern Floral.” The new member brings the total IFD membership to 18, with distribution locations in 56 U.S. markets.
