World Floral Expo 2010, Miami, Florida

MIAMI – The 6th edition of World Floral Expo is about to open its doors. From
Tuesday March 9 to Thursday March 11 the yearly held international floriculture
trade show for the US floral wholesaler & high volume retailer will showcase the
latest developments and novelties in the world floral industry.

Show hours are daily from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Flower breeders will display their newest developed varieties, growers their
best flower production and floral suppliers their newest products. A flower
design team from Holland consisting of 7 top flower designers will give
continuously flower demonstrations to the buyers in the show.

On Tuesday morning the 9th of March a special key note forum will take place in
the East Hall of the Doubletree Miami Mart Airport Hotel/Convention Center the
role of Cargo in the Flower Industry. 5 keynote speakers, representatives from
American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Armellini Express Lines, Liege Airport
from Belgium and the Logistic Flower Center from Ecuador will elaborate on this
subject in an inter-action session with the audience.

The trade show opens at 1:00 pm and after it closes on its first day, the
offical party will take place in the swimming pool area of the official
Exhibition hotel, where exhibitors and visitors can socialize and listen to whom
has received one of the 14 prices that will be awarded to the Best Booth Design,
Best Grower, Best Breeder, Best Country Display, Best Perishable Novelty and
Best Non Perishable Novelty.

On Wednesday March 10 the traditional Miami Floral Company Tours will take
place. New in the programme are the importer sourcing mornings on Wednesday the
10th and Thursday 11th of March between 9.00 am and noon. To date 137 companies
have registered to exhibit from 21 countries around the world. Pre registered
qualified floral buying companies, mostly from the USA & Canada until today are
23% up compared to last year’s edition. Total number of registered exhibitors &
visitors at this moment almost reach 1300, an increase of almost 40%.

The organisers, HPP Exhibitions, are for this reason optimistic that the US
floral industry is catching up again and expect a successful trade show coming
up!
