participates in the USDA Process Verified Program (PVP) that uses stringent
third-party audits on an extensive list of standards examining production
processes from the farm to the packaging facilities:
- All pigs are traceable to the farm of origin.
- All pigs are born and raised in the U.S.A.
- Use of an on-farm food safety based control system.
- Animal Handling Program at plants and in transport to plants (Transport
Quality Assurance) - Plants have ISO 14001 Certificate of Registration for Environmental
Management Systems. - Meat quality evaluations.

previous year, and 37% since 2004; and hormone/antibiotic-free foods grew 11% in
