Falls City, Nebraska – Falls City Economic Development and Growth Enterprise (EDGE), is pleased to announce Gold Star Sausage Co. is planning a Falls City location for its private label production of hot dogs and sausages of all varieties. The USDA certified production facility will be located in the Industrial Park at 810 East 5th St. The business has outgrown its Colorado facility and is looking to grow its national distribution as well as capitalize on export. President Rick Rue notes, “We are excited about this multi-million dollar project which will include significant capital investment, infrastructure upgrades, and the creation of 40+ new employment opportunities. We look forward to opening the Falls City, NE location early in 2015.” The jobs being created are in the food processing industry and will include managers, quality assurance, maintenance, production, line supervisors, and office personnel.
